Lecture Do not be Seated by Eric Joris

Eric Joris will give a short history of the development of immersive performances and the use of VR or MR and its language. He will talk about his plans and collaborations towards the future, with a new project that aims to create performative spaces and communities where physical and digital encounters can be organized, with a hybrid type of presence.
The intention is to stage an interactive, multi- and interdisciplinary environment where bodily movement is central and "works of art” and performances can be created through dialogue with the different stakeholders.
Is it possible e.g. to have artists and citizens build and articulate heterotopia as places for exchange? And to connect and interact within different heterotopia?
